Who Qualifies as a referee?
Referred individual must be a new personal checking client. For purposes of this program, a "new personal checking client" is an individual who was not previously an owner or signer on a First Citizens checking account within three months of opening the qualifying account.

What Counts as a Qualified Referral Account?
Qualified referee must open a Bank at Work checking, Checking with Interest, Free Checking, Liberty ClassicSM or Liberty AdvantageSM Checking, QuestSM or UltraQuest® account in a First Citizens office on or before December 31, 2009. Referred individual must present a completed referral coupon at the time the account is opened. Account subject to standard opening balance requirements and account opening approvals. Minimum opening balance requirements are $50 for Free Checking, $100 for Checking With Interest, Liberty Classic, Liberty Advantage, Quest and UltraQuest, and $0 for Bank at Work. The account must remain open and in good standing for 30 days to qualify towards cash bonus. Bank associates are not eligible to participate in the program.

Bonuses:
Referer will earn a $25 cash bonus for each qualified referral up to five referrals (max of $125) within a calendar year.
Referee will earn a $25 cash bonus for opening a qualified referral account. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other ongoing offers.
The Bank will credit each cash bonus to referer's/referee's primary First Citizens checking account within twelve weeks of account opening.

Each cash bonus will be reported to the IRS, state and local tax authorities if required by applicable law. Recipient is responsible for any federal, state and/or local taxes on bonus items.

Offer available for a limited time and may be withdrawn by the Bank prior to December 31, 2009 without notice. Other restrictions and conditions may apply. Bank reserves the right to disqualify any referrals in circumstances where we reasonably believe they were not made in good faith. Qualifying referrals do not include referrals of those individuals living in the same household as referer, regardless of their relationship to referer.
