Important Reminder:
Protect Yourself Online

Protecting your confidential account information is one of our highest priorities at First Citizens Bank. That's why we want to share with you these online safety and security tips:

  1. Use common sense when online - and stay vigilant. Be wary of clicking on e-mailed links or visiting unfamiliar Web sites.
  2. Ensure your computer has the latest protective patches, updates and security repairs for your operating system. Make sure that other software on your computers - particularly Web browsers and browser plug-ins - are kept up to date.
  3. Use strong passwords, change them regularly and never share them with anyone.
  4. Make sure your computer has both an anti-spyware protection program that detects and removes spyware and an anti-virus program. Keep both updated. Schedule your computer to scan for viruses on a regular basis. Don't rely solely on your online service provider for anti-virus protection.
  5. If you don't have anti-virus software, consider downloading one of these popular anti-virus products: Please note: You may be charged for some of these products.
  6. Finally, monitor your accounts and call the First Citizens Customer Contact Center 1.888.323.4732 immediately if you notice any activity that appears suspicious.
